NBA followers?

I follow the Nuggets and the Warriors.

The Nuggets are beating the preseason expectations. Slightly. Meaning they are just bad and not a train wreck. They have some young talent, and a good coach, and a bunch of draft picks. They may upgrade to decent in a year or two.

I'm a Knicks fan. Which means that I will never live to see a championship.

Yes. The Warriors are must-see basketball. The top teams in the league really are representative of the most exciting players.
I enjoyed watching Curry and co. during the playoffs and championship last year. I was cheering for The Beard before.

@335clone put this here instead of the Baseball thread so as to not further clutter it up with off topic. Since we were talking about announcers, here is the original Voice of the Sonics, Bob Blackburn, who I listened to on AM radio from way back when. He is the guy that got me originally enthused about major sports.

I thought that Curry has been the best player for years now. Just shooting percentage and how he leads puts him over any dunk specialist with a big celebration dance as the announcers yell.

He has the poise, the D, the leadership capabilities and the guy has mental toughness to keep his composure and make almost any shot - even the ones that many would say are 'lucky'. When you make a whole whack of those, are they still 'lucky'?

It's more difficult to be as outstanding as Curry is in this era because everyone is so talented.

He's probably the greatest pure shooter of all-time. And he'll probably be a very influential player as well.

Not sure I'd call him the best player in the league, though. It's competitive.

Agreed. Not a great on the ball defender (although he has improved a lot offf the ball and poaching the passing lanes). LeBron is still the best all around player.

Warriors and Spurs are the most fun to watch.

Perhaps, but he's also vastly more egotistical and a far worse teammate.

And Curry just worked hard as the team built to win a Championship rather than orchestrate a destination with 2 other superstars and get a Championship that way.

LeBron is not the best. He is very one dimensional...big power is his main attribute and his tremendous skill is undeniable but he lacks heart and has shown in key points in his career than he won't shoulder the burden. Curry has blown LeBron away as a leader and has already eclipsed LeBron's career in my eyes - even if his team never wins another NBA title.

It is that time of year again where I pine for the pine. Actually, well into the season. Anyway, missing my Seattle Supersonics. Didn't know where to put this so thought I would post it here.

I guess go warriors, kinda. Durant is there at least.
