NAD (Ampeg 5w Head)

I've been looking for something to run with my VHT Special 6 Ultra combo in stereo. I saw this Ampeg GVT5h in SA at blow-out price ($136) and thought I would give it a try. Why not?
I have a Jet City cab with a Celestion G12T-75. This amp is truly amazing. Only 5 watts but clean headroom almost all the way. No bells or whistles but the baxandall tone stack makes it quite versatile. One JJs 12ax7 and one EHX 6v6. It has to really be cranked for any kind of over drive with single coils but that's exactly what I was looking for.

I have the combo-got it as a $150 SDotD- and love it. Run it with a Big Muff at 110 dB and it sounds like a big 70s amp shitting its guts out. Run it clean at 60 dB and you have a nice 1am practice amp.

Which vendor is SA? I want to see if they're also dumping the big GVT amps.
 
Congrats! And those 5-watters sound really good, too. I tried the combo and it sounded great.

The two SA stores in my area still have a few various Ampegs left.
