She ended up getting a double-major in social work and used that. Frankly, other than academia, there are not huge numbers of jobs out there in that field without a PhD. I know that states, etc. have archeologists on staff to check out construction sites, etc. However, like any liberal arts field, it does give you a very good general education. Our son double majored in anthropology and history and is currently in sales... 
What is that green stuff? I remember seeing it when I was a child, but I forgot what it is called.Looks like they've been mowing around that for a while now.
