Left Leg Laser Beam

Peen Simmons

Let’s Get Obtuse!
Dear esteemed council of Internet guitarists, I must confess that for the first time nearly forever, I am being forced to rest and relax.

Yesterday they shot a laser beam into my leg to zap a troublesome vein that decided to stop doing its job. They also stripped out some other veins just to make an example of them. As a result. I am mildly hobbled and forced to rest up. It’s worse than the procedure, all this taking it easy.

Apparently letting your job con you into epic driving sessions on top of your regular job of sitting and standing for hours is not great if you inherited shoddy lower extremity infrastructure from yr mom’s side of the family.

I will wait patiently for your mojo.

Better than a stroke, man. Rest up.

Oh, I was at no serious risk of anything. Just minor persistent discomfort. Much of my family demapped themselves voluntarily/accidentally at relatively early ages, and those that haven’t have been reasonably robust and long lived enough to become seriously annoying. As such, known heritable time bombs aren’t super apparent.

Nonetheless, shitty varicose veins are apparently one known issues in my mom’s family going back a few generations. I was at a function with my family on that side and my aunt was remarking to at her daughter/my cousin has similar issues. It’s not the end of the world, but I elected to get if fixed vs letting it get out of hand.
