It's kind of like a new amp day

I live in the house of broken. I have so many amps that aren't working, household projects, guitars that need work, etc. I seemed to be cursed.

I've been taking amps in one-at-a-time to be fixed. This is the first one to come back- my Randall RG75G3. It's a hybrid tube/SS 75 watt combo. It's really made for metal, and does it far better than most amps in its class. I'm happy to have it back.

That's actually a pretty cool amp. How's the distortion?

The distortion is glorious. Very solid crunch with very good definition and response. For me, the clean channel is the only drawback. I find it to be a bit dull.

That's the issue I find with most channel switching amps.

Too much of a compromise to have one channel sound good to great while the other suffers.
