It's Been a Minute...

Wow the last 6 weeks have been something. Drove from Michigan to Rhode Island to Officer Training Command Newport, only to arrive to the biggest blizzard in about 100 years, 39.7 inches...or as we say in Michigan, "look its snowing".

It was more than I expected, much more physically demanding, but I hung in, and did what needed to be done. Met some amazing people and very grateful for the camaraderie. I am in Norfolk now and reporting for official duty Monday... Trying to get the
new place together and waiting to immerse myself in whatever this brings. But through it all, I do feel it is an honor and while at this point in my life, this definitely has not been an easy task... I am glad I am doing it.
