I have a new reso coming

A new sq neck Gretsch w built in Fishman Nashville piezo. I’ve never really been satisfied with my old Regal, esp since I modded it w a mag pickup and installed a jack, vol and tone. Never cared for the sound of the mag pickup and now the wiring has gone to sht. Plus it’s never sounded that great acoustically even after mods like upgraded cone and bridge. Stock it was too mellow, modded it was too harsh and metallic.
Rather than tear into it again for the umpteenth time I just ordered me a fresh new one. It’s not really a price point upgrade from the 25 yr old Regal, but I’m hoping I’ll like it better.

Usually just straight in to the Spark with an acoustic tone selected.

The new reso came today I havnt plugged it in but Im very sastisfied with the acoustic tone given the price point. It's no Beard or Sheerhorn, but It's a lot better sounding than the old Regal ever was. It appears to be well put together with no rattles. Right now Im pretty happy. Now if I can just get a decent plugged in tone out of it. Shouldn't be that difficult as I have a Baggs PADI lying around that I plan to eventually incorporate into a small pedalboard that includes a tuner, Diamond Comp, reverb, and mini vol pedal in its loop.
