I don't recall ever seeing Lynyrd Skynyrd

I saw Skynyrd and they were TIGHT but that Peavey tone bummed my ears for days. I was never really a fan.

But I sure saw Molly Hatchet with .38 Special and the Johnny Van Zant Band.

Dropped acid, Blue Oyster Cult concert, fourteen years old,
And I thought them lasers were a spider chasing me.

I think they died i n a plane crash before you were born Theodore....of course you didn't see them. I saw Metallica with Cliff Burton.

Their crash was not far from here. Fans have been going to the site for years, though there’s nothing there but trees, hard to find and on private land. I guess the locals realized it’s not ever going to stop so they pooled some money and built a little memorial at the closest place you can get there without jumping fences and getting shot at. Never been there.

And I’ve seen them twice, once with Ronnie Van Zandt.

well i never saw metallica but i sure saw black sabbath with pantera and pantera.

I saw .38 Special headlining, 1984 or 1985 (I think 1984).

Saw Molly Hatchet open for Triumph on Triumph's Thunder Seven tour.

Both bands were really good imo.

I saw UFO open for the Outlaws, and Triumph open for Iron Maiden. Pretty cool shows in those days.

Will I never saw The Runaways, but I sure saw Pat Benatar
And you know love really is a battlefield.
Pat Benatar, Pat Benatar,
15 and high in my buddy's car.
And they don't make cars like that no more.
Neil Giraldo, let your gittar roar!

I saw Lynyrd Skynrd in 1987,it was a BIG deal, Ed king was killing it.

38 Special headlined in 1984 with Golden Ear Ring opening

I saw Molly Hatchet,Blackfoot ,Wet Willie and the Georgia Satellites in 85 or 86

It was saturday last week
I was hanging out at Johnson's creek
We were partying in my van
When we were hassled by the man

Jamming to Foghat on my 8-track
With a case of malt liquor and a bong in back
from out of nowhere came the man in blue
I thought we were busted but the pig was cool

The pig was cool
I knew him from school
The pig was cool

We were at the Journey show
The first three songs we were hanging low
Then the band played "Wheel in the Sky"
Me and my babe started getting high
The dude next to me said gimme a hit
So I passed him the joint I already lit
When I saw his badge
I thought this is it
But he just said to me, "man, this is good shit"

The pig was cool

If we are talking Blackfoot too, saw them open for Deep Purple on DP's 'Perfect Strangers' tour, in downtown Flint, MI at a high school football field. Right in the middle of a neighborhood. Those home owners must've been thrilled :eyeroll:

I saw that tour. We went two nights. I cant recall who opened for Deep Purpke in Los Angeles. We saw them at The Forum in Inglewood. Epic show.
