No, not OCD...

Office Chair Day.

I have been rearranging the office to make it more efficient since Carol's poetry group no longer meets here. I found this chair at Staples for $39; I had $10 in "rewards" coming to me, so I brought it home for $29. Very comfy, but not too overwhelming or intimidating.

Next, I'm looking for a couch, though I don't think Carol wants me to have anything I can lie down on here...

That begs the question- why in the "olden days" of psychiatry did patients lie on the couch? I try to learn something everyday so this is it lol.

I don't know for sure, but I think there may have been the idea of making the client comfortable, but I also think it makes the client vulnerable and puts the therapist in a position of power. I wouldn't put anything past old Sigmund.
