Happy New Active Speakers Day!
Due to a combination of Amazon vouchers for my birthday and a shortly following Prime Day, I am now the proud owner of a pair of HH VRE-8AG2 active speakers.
Claims 300w each but I'll bet that's peak, not RMS, but puts out a decent amount of volume for the quick test I've given them at home.
35mm pole mountable or can be laid on the floor and angles up as a monitor due to the clever handle design.
Basic two channel mixer built in, basically one XLR, one line in, each with a gain control and a master volume. Also has a 3.5mm stereo aux in and a 6.3mm mix out for chaining purposes.
Also features a media player if needed which takes USB, SD card and bluetooth connections.
If I'm right (not got time to test this yet) I believe I can link the speakers through Bluetooth saving a link cable if I so desire.
I've got 3 main uses for these.
1) Replace the 40 to 50 year old Carlsbro wedges I've been using for the last 30 years.
2) Use as a PA for some acoustic solo/duo stuff I want to do.
3) Try them out with my modeller pedals as a lot more lightweight than my amps!
