Hey man, How's your chess game?

Used to play a fair amount in my youth, but haven't played in years. Even then I was mediocre at best. It's a great game though.

since you mentioned that......back when is was in the air force, i worked with a guy who would regularly play chess and backgammon simultaneously against two other people who were playing just one of the games.....and would regularly beat both!!

I've played since I was a kid, but was never super ambitious about it. I taught my son how to play, never let him win to inspire confidence. He just had to lose until he got good enough to beat me. He took some classes in middle school and was in a chess club. Soon he could occasionally beat me. When he got into high school he would win about half the time, sometimes more. I'm never going to crack open a chess book, although I own one. I just enjoy playing.
