hey, could you make a pickguard out of metal?

The Reverends have Plastic Pickguards... just a heads up
(Though some of the bodies have a thin layer of metal over a laminate/wood.

Typically we ban folks whose first post includes a link to their website like that but since it was actually on topic I'll let it slide. You'll find a ton of reverend fans here but please become part of the community here and don't make every post an ad for your site...I'm sure the Reverend owners here would be happy to have another fan to talk to :)

Dak is a good guy, and a major contributor on the Reverend forum. If you want to know anything about USA Rev's he's your man. His site track sales price trends for USA Rev's, model history's and all kinds of useful info. He also worked with a couple of fiolks to put together a serial number database for all USA's. I am slightly embarrassed he had to correct me. :embarrassed:

Cool! I'd love him to hang out then! I've just spent the morning cleaning up or seeing how the guys have dealt with other forum issues while I was gone and I'm happy that this is a real person that one of you already knows who has something on-topic to contribute :)

I've got a Teisco with a metal pickguard. The main thing that affects the tone is its being a Teisco, not the pickguard material.

Apologies for the first post faux pas... I am kind of a drunken sailor when it comes to my website... which I won't mention
Thanks for the welcome though, nice to be here.

My MIM Classic 50's P bass comes with an anodized aluminum pickguard.

Awesome. I love that bass.

I've played that bass and it's killer. An absolute steal.

No problem...feel free to put a link in your signature and chime in on stuff. We get a ton of people registering, digging up old threads and then posting nonsense that has a link to their car insurance site or something like that
