Help! I’ve Fallen and I Can’t Get Up!

Ok. Not really, but I do need help.

That is to say, I DID need help, but I figured it out. Now, I’m beyond help.

I’m at the age now where if/when I fall I pause, then determine whether or not I can get up or crawl to a chair to help me climb up or say fuck it and just lay there and nap a while.

Back in late 2023 to early 2024 I fell more than 20 times in two months and didn't have enough strength in my legs to get back up. At times I would try to sit on various bins, each an inch or two higher than the previous one until I could get up using my arms. A couple of times my nephews came to help me up and I needed to call an ambulance twice. I finally found a device with a motor that would lift me. I don't know that I can get off the floor unaided now, but at least I haven't been falling. Progress.
