Guitar criticisms that you really don't get or understand.

It doesn't cover all the bases/one trick pony.
I'd rather have gear that does what it does really well vs something that half asses everything.

If you can only reach 15 of the frets, why did they build the guitar with 20/21/22 frets? Why not stop at 15?

I don't understand 95% of the headstock criticisms, myself. The other 5% are indeed truly hideous headstocks :embarrassed:

The "volume control in the way on a strat" thing is the one that kills me. Seriously, its been over 60 years and most of us can play without hitting it. Or the middle pickup in the way of your picking.

Unless you're trying to play barre chords up there, I see it as a technique issue.

Well there is that. It would probably be easier to get a guitar that works for you in that regard, rather than trying to change your technique. Wether or not that's the right choice is a different matter.

You can still get to the other ones, you just need to use, as my buddy calls it, the "raptor claw".

It's a bit of a weird criticism for most guitars. I mean there aren't many guitars that can't serviceably cover a wide range of styles.

No prob with the middle pickup, but I absolutely find the Strat volume placement annoying. If you want to palm mute the higher strings you end up mashing your knuckles into it. Very irksome.

I will point out that aside from your shocking racism against my long, flowing knuckles, I have heard far better players than me complain about this exact same thing.

I've heard far better players than those players have no idea what those players are talking about.

Yep. One of very few things I agree with Howie on.

If you're going to be strumming, play a fucking acoustic.
