I don't know, that seems fairly easy to understand to me.
Unless you're trying to play barre chords up there, I see it as a technique issue.
If you can only reach 15 of the frets, why did they build the guitar with 20/21/22 frets? Why not stop at 15?
It doesn't cover all the bases/one trick pony.
I'd rather have gear that does what it does really well vs something that half asses everything.
The "volume control in the way on a strat" thing is the one that kills me. Seriously, its been over 60 years and most of us can play without hitting it. Or the middle pickup in the way of your picking.

No prob with the middle pickup, but I absolutely find the Strat volume placement annoying. If you want to palm mute the higher strings you end up mashing your knuckles into it. Very irksome.

I will point out that aside from your shocking racism against my long, flowing knuckles, I have heard far better players than me complain about this exact same thing.
