Give me some examples of the Fender Jazzmaster used to great effect

That's a great example of the strengths of the Jazzmaster. A lot of what makes a Jazzmaster distinctive is the trem system, and that Black Mountain performance that would not have been the same with a Les Paul, even with a bigsby. Even a strat wouldn't have done the same thing. Plus, Jazzmasters take to pedals in a very different way to a Les Paul or an SG.
