My dad knows Alf Clausen, the guy who wrote the theme song for The Simpsons. The are from the same part of rural North Dakota and knew each other in high school and later attended the same college (North Dakota State University).

I didn't know that. I only know his name from the credits and my dad told me he was a musicians who did the Simpson's music. I assumed it was the theme song. I stand corrected.
