Yeah, no Monaco race tomorrow morning is going to be weird. They messed up my usual Memorial Day Sunday routine, the bastards...

The Indy 500 is far more entertaining than Monaco.Yeah, it means I have to come up with a new excuse for not watching the Indy 500...

I don't know if you have watched IndyCar at all recently, but it has become very competitive. Lots of different winners and the cars can really race each other. I think they have figured out how to get exciting on track action. The 500 didn't disappoint this year, and it all came down to the last lap with 5 cars battling for the win.Indy Car racing has lost a lot of appeal for me in recent years. Not sure why, but it's just very "meh". On the one hand, I like the Spec Racing aspect because it evens the playing field for the cars, but on the other hand, it somehow ends up being a fight for top spots among a very select group of elite level drivers that just smoke the "also rans". Both more exciting and more boring than F1 simultaneously.

He apparently accidentally bumped the "brake magic" switch as he pulled up alongside Checo going into turn 1, which pretty much switched off the brakes.I have never seen smoke pouring out of all 4 brakes on the grid before. Before the lights went out I knew Hamilton's brakes were cooked.
Keep in mind Max is still only 23. He might yet grow up. Or not.Definitely an interesting and fun race with a lot of plot twists. I loved seeing Seb on that podium! So happy for him.
Max continues to make it harder and harder to not outright hate him. Good grief! He's the most petulant, whiney little shit ever. I can't stand him. Talented kid with no other redeeming qualities whatsoever. Of course he immediately threw a temper tantrum and blamed Pirelli for something that isn't their fault. It was VERY obvious from the many angles of his incident that he hit a piece of debris on track immediately before that tire let go. Plain as day. Hey dipshit... don't run shit over and you won't rip a tire open. FFS.
There was a time when a young Seb was quite unlikable for many of the same attributes that make Max insufferable but he grew out of it and really became a very likable character. I don't see this kid turning it around though. He's just an awful person. Spoilt rotten to the core.
What sucks most about that is he's the only real threat to Lewis for the WDC. I can't stand Lewis either, but I'd rather see him win it all again than for that sniveling punk to get crowned a champion. Lewis at least has some redeeming qualities. Not many, but some.
Anyway, at least this season has been interesting.

I've hated Vettel ever since he fucked Mark Webber at Sepang, but it was nice to see another Mercedes-free podium.
An interesting race for sure, but it sucks that Bottas took out Norris and both Red Bulls. I can't believe Vettel got DQ'ed. The team should have told him to pull over at the end of pit lane when he crossed the line. Major fuckup.Congrats to Ocon on his 1st Grand Prix victory. Crazy start to the race, and Hamilton's failure to pit at the restart made things even more interesting, but the Hungaroring is awful when it comes to overtaking.
