The rest of my week is going to revolve around eating teh tasty foods.

My wife is not the type of person to use pre-packaged spice mixes, everything she makes is from scratch. Tonight we are having smothered pork chops, she browns the chops in a skillet and then cooks down a buttload of chopped red onion and garlic, then she makes a mushroom based gravy and lets the chops simmer in that until they are nice and tender and served over mashed potatoes.

Saturday we are basing our culinary choices on the areas we are going to be in. During the day we are going to some thrift stores in the Edgewater neighborhood also knows as "Little Vietnam" and will be having lunch at a killer Vietnamese restaurant called "Tank Pho." Bubble Tea!!!

Later in the day after we work out the best BBQ joint in Chicago is about 5 minutes from the Y so I'll be having brisket, cornbread, beans and macaroni and cheese.

Then on Sunday she will be making jambalaya (Mrs. Humps jambalaya is so good you will be licking the crack of your ass for two weeks just to get the taste back in your mouth.?

She browns pieces of chicken in the pot and then cooks down garlic, onions, bell peppers and celery, throws in some black pepper, cayenne pepper, salt, bay leaves etc then adds long grain rice, water and andouille say-sage and lets all that shit simmer for about an hour.

All of that sounds really good except for the licking ass crack part.

Sounds pretty dang tasty - well - most of it....

I just picked up a small boneless leg of lamb and I am trying to figure out how to cook it.

I think you marinate it in milk overnight to tenderize it and then grill it or broil it.

My last apartment was in a neighborhood with a lot of Greeks, my ass of a next door neighbor used to cook a whole lamb on the grill every Easter.
