Help me out. What's a PLEK?

PLEK is a computer controlled fret milling machine that basically levels the frets on a guitar neck to insanely tight tolerances. The machine can work with tension on the neck, like when it is strung, and it has a scanner that takes a million or so measurements of the fretboard, identifies high frets, lumps, bumps, and minor neck problems, and then decides the best possible way to level and dress the frets to make a perfect neck. My PLEK'd guitars have incredible action, and I am a firm believer that the technology really works great. It also can cut and prep the nut to get things perfect.

It also takes the worker mostly out of the equation, so instead of getting a mediocre fret level/setup on a Gibson depending on the day of the week and person your guitar was set up by, they are all pretty much the same and darn near perfect.
