FCC rules pt.15 Explain it to me please

Honkridge

UNACCEPTABLE!
"This device may not cause harmful interference" OK fair enough. "This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesirable operation" That last is the one I don't get. Educate me plz.

The device is not allowed to cause interference with critical communications. Yet, there’s no guarantee of a clean signal. Other signals may interfere with the device and you’ll just have to deal with it. Suck it up buttercup!

It means that if you crank the volume on your amp and start bashing fuzzed out power chords the butt plug will start pounding on your prostrate like Phil Taylor after a couple lines of crank.

It’s standard FCC stipulations for those types of devices. They let all kinds of devices use the air, as long as they don’t interfere with important services and don’t expect interference protection.

The device should not cause shit that would harm other devices, but it should passively accept shit that other devices might dish out.
