The Nebula IV is a 4 stage phaser. Like a Phase 90 with depth and mix controls. The original was a 2 stage phase, like a Phase 45 or DOD 201. I believe the Redux is 2 stages.

So the Nebula Redux arrived today and I really like it. It is very MXR Phaseish but there isn't a volume drop and it sounds overall better. And the one knob is my kind of pedal I have 3 incoming pedals and then I swear my board is done for a very long time.
