I use antiperspirant but call it deodorant.
deodorant (and it's not the same thing as antiperspirant - antiperspirant inhibits sweating, deodorant inhibits bacterial growth)
scented deodorants do mask the smell as well, but having once shared lab space with a guy who didn't use deodorant, but did use waaaaay too much cologne, just adding some scent isn't nearly as effective as reducing the smell-producing bacteria. Sort of a lipstick on a pig type of situation, oflactorily speaking.That's something else I didn't know, I thought it just masked the smell.

my ex got me to try some natural deodorants for several months (the kind that still come in a stick, not as crunchy as the hunk of salt), and they sort of worked - everything would be fine for ~4 or so hours, then they would poop out and leave me hanging/smelly.I had a friend that tried using one of those big dumb hunks of rock salt. Fuuuuuuck he smelled so bad after 6 months that no one would let him ride in their car.
