Dedicated camera to make time lapse videos.

I want one that is automated and dedicated to the cause. I know most cameras have this function but again I will want this to sit in the same spot for about a month or two minimum. Think photographing a contruction project say hourly during the day.
I wonder if I'm thinking about nature cams type cameras.

What do you know? What do you use?

That's an interesting idea. I don't think I have the previous few phones because they paid me something when I upgraded. I'm thinking of upgrading soon. I can keep my current phone when I get a new one depending on what they offer versus the cost of a new camera.
I remember years ago I tried using a previous iphone as a media player and they diabled the function on the old phone. I would need to check that type thing.
