In celebration of our 100th birthday, Heritage Guitar Inc. of Kalamazoo is making us a custom guitar with a mother of pearl Pretty Lake inlay. And you can win it!

This one-of-a-kind guitar is cut from a maple tree on our property and is being handmade right in the Parsons St. factory in Kalamazoo (where guitars have been made for almost as long as we’ve provided free summer camp for area kids).

Raffle tickets are $10, and they’ll be available for purchase starting Saturday, March 5 at the Kalamazoo Fretboard Festival. Stop by our table between noon and 6:embarrassed:0pm (we're in the Anna Whitten Hall)!

The winner will be announced at our Gala on October 20!

Ooh, pretty hot, even with the gold hardware. Might have to try my luck.
The guitar hasn't been built yet. This will truly be a custom model as I understand it. You may be able to request nickel or chrome hardware and possibly a different finish.

I might have to nab a ticket. For a $10, even if I have to replace the gold out of pocket, still well worth it.

doesn't outright state it in the OP but I assume they are fund raising for the camp?

derp: never mind, the post is from the camp itself and not heritage as I first thought. read links. gain knowledge.

That's not how I read it. It reads like Heritage is currently building Pretty Lake a custom guitar to be raffled.

Confirmed that on their FB page...
Here's Jim helping us pick out the model and finish for our guitar.
We took about 10-minutes to talk finish options, but once he pulled out this one, we were sold. This is the OSB finish (Old-style burst). This finish replicates the look that Orville Gibson put on his guitars 100 years ago.
Here's the artist rendering for what the final guitar will look like. Hard to believe that someone will win this $4,225 custom guitar with a ten-dollar bill... Will it be you?
