So, one of the categories for this year is "The Great Liberty Bell Stuff Off!" Stuffed peppers. Clever, right? So I have an idea, but it involves Zatarain's Bourbon Chicken rice, which is no longer available, or something similar. Was going to try to develop a copycat recipe unless somebody has already done so or knows of something else in the same vein. Wonder if I could take their dirty rice, add some sugar, brown sugar, and molasses? That might be close, proportions on the spices might be off though. Hmm.

The concept is easy enough - a bacon-wrapped jalapeno popper (with smoked, seasoned cream cheese) inside the bell pepper with the rice mix. But the rice mix is going to be key.
 
INGREDIENTS: Enriched Long Grain Parboiled Rice (Rice, Iron, Niacin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Folic Acid), Sugar, Onion, Garlic, Salt, Brown Sugar, Tomato Powder, Yeast Extract, Molasses (Refinery Syrup, Molasses), Spices (Including Chili Pepper, Red Pepper, Turmeric), Torula Yeast, Dextrose, Natural Flavor (Including Barley), Extractives of Paprika, Citric Acid, Mustard Bran, Malic Acid, Whiskey Solids & Chicken Powder.


You could maybe swap some of the acids for more citrus juice.
Maybe the yeasts for MSG or a soya paste (not sauce).
Other than that, I could see it being pretty easy to get something close.

What the hell are Whiskey Solids and how do I carry them in my pocket?

I made a spreadsheet with the ingredient list, the majority of it should be pretty easy I guess. Sugar, onion, garlic, salt. Paprika and chili powder for smokiness.
