Check the model number on the label inside the left f-hole. That will let you know if this is one of the cheap artcore models or one of the better ones with the nice electronics worth paying $475 for.
Yep, that's an Artcore AFS75. It's one of the one-off models that they put out one year. There's another one that's sparkle red with a racing stripe. I haven't seen either in stores for a long time, but if you look at the specs, the paint is the only thing different from any other AFS75...which go for $500 new.
Kinda what I was thinking. My kid is sorta interested in it. I told him I thought it was a bit high but it does have the abalone and striping and the case.
I think he's lost interest now, though.
I find the ACH1 & ACH2 humbuckers on most of the Artcores to be rather lackluster, and a little muddy. That's why the AM93 impressed me as soon as I heard it - it has Ibanez's Super 58 Customs, and those pups sparkle with clear tones.
