Question: Can we get more cats around here?

He strictly plays by ear.

*just kidding. Our cats would not eat us if they could right?

Oh hell yes they will. My son and I went to a lecture about what happens to your body when you die, and there was a large segment regarding how your cats and dogs will devour you. The main difference is that your dog will wait until you are clearly dead. Your cat does not have that kind of patience.

Cats seem to retain their wild insticts. That's part of what makes them so cool and exotic. My two black cats remind me of mini panthers.

My uncle had a cat named Velcro. He got that name because if you scratched a certain spot in the middle of his back he would go into what I can only describe as an orgasmic spasm, flip over and attach to you full claws and not let go while he quivered like the best orgasm ever.

My cat is now 19 and on Saturday night I was busy watching 'Ragnarok' (Norwegian TV series on Netflix...very good) and heard a crash on the stairs. Rushing to see what the problem was I saw my old buddy limping way from the bottom step.
The noise was so loud I thought one of my kids had fallen down the stairs.
Luckily no harm done and she's fine now. Must have been quite a tumble. If id had a camera somewhere id be a millionaire by now.

Rest in peace, sweet Jasper. You were by far the most affectionate cat I've ever know. I will miss you sitting in my lap several times each day and evening.

He developed struvite crystals with Hematuria 3 weeks ago and was treated with Robenacoxib (anti-inflammatory) and special Science Diet food, which worked for a few weeks. Sunday, it all came back and worsened quickly with a total blockage by Monday night. We got him into a different vet Tuesday but it was too late. His urine analysis indicated severe renal failure, so the only decent choice was to euthanize him.

The first vet should have catheterized him initially. We should have realized this and it cost him his life.

I will miss Jasper like no other pet in my lifetime.

His best buddy, Boo, looks lost now.
