Can a router go bad?

Heat eventually claims all wi-fi router CPUs.

Has anything changed in your environment?

I hung a couple guitars on the wall in my office and my old Netgear decided it didn't like that. I've since upgraded to two Ubiquiti Unifi AC Lite access points (one upstairs and one downstairs) with my FiOS router performing the DHCP role.

I did have my old Linksys WRT54G drop a deuce, though. If the thing gets too hot without proper ventilation it will shit the bed after a while.
