That was Tommy Tutone’s guitarist.

Loverboy is on now.

No shorts. Thankfully.
I wish Tommy would come back on.
At least he’s interesting.

Don't know if it's still true but, back in high school, Loverboy concert meant lots of girls would show up.

There were a few. Probably the same girls.
Have you seen Mike Reno lately?

I didn’t enjoy their set much. That wasn’t the music I was listening to when they were big.
The overall vibe I got from them at the show last night: shouty. Not really loud. Just shouty.
Which is too bad because Mike still has some serious pipes. I doubt he needs to shout.

Paul Dean was fun to watch. I couldn’t get close to see the whole rig, but he had some kind of all-in-one board at his feet, plus a wah pedal, two Marshall stacks, various super-Strat types of guitars.

My rule of thumb for shorts:

Shorts are Okay for:
Angus Young
Drummers
Jimmy Buffett
Skate Punk (usually long shorts with high tops)
and if it's 100 degrees outside... and you're not the front man.

If you are the front man:
No.
Nope.
Don't even think about it.
No, not right after the show... wait til you are home.
If you're hot, wear assless chaps like DLR or Prince.

I'm in South Florida. Lots of shorts at daytime outdoor events. Can't say I blame them and it has become pretty normal here. At night or indoors I think it looks lazy. Don't get me wrong, its still hot at night here in the summer but under the lights you should make the effort.
