Anyone use one of those little Tascam 8 track recorders?

I just got my Tascam out of the closet, trying to figure a cool use for fit. I def prefer it vs staring at a DAW.

I had this one as a teen. I recorded so many songs. It sounded awful.
I've been considering a digital version as I am in the same boat of not being able to permanently set up a Reaper station and if I have to set everything up every time I just won't.

Is that a tascam 8trk?: I had a fostex 8 with the matching 8ch board. I loved it.

This is the easiest digital recorder I've ever used. Like a cassette recorder. They go for around $300 on eBay. Built-in drums, bass,cd burner and 40g hard drive.
