Seems like a lot of features packed into an inexpensive unit. That would have me concerned about overall quality. Still, it might be a good starting point, since it does have so many features, it could still be useful when you outgrow it and upgrade. I would pick a DAW though, and start learning the ins and outs of recording with a computer. 8 inputs isn't a lot when you're recording full band stuff, and I think you'll probably outgrow this unit in short time. Learning something like Reaper or Logic will give you some options when you go to upgrade.
