Grand Prix that is.
I'm all in on street and dirt motorcycle GP racing.

The leaders of the two MXGP(motocross Grand Prix)championships in Europe, are the Coenen brothers. They are twins. They have a week off from MXGP, so they are in the United States to race the Outdoor National Championship. This is the highest level of motocross racing in the United States. This will he exciting to see how they stack up against the best riders racing in the U.S. Both the Coenen brothers have the skill set to win tomorrow.
Lucas Coenen:

The MotoGP has been exciting too. This is street racing. Last week, Marc Marquez got back to his winning ways after a brutal, high side get off that had him missing a couple of races.

MX GP & Enduro GP, Moto GP only casually.
SX, MX, GNCC, HEWC, US HE I follow more closely.

MM93's factory duc run has been a phenomenal thing to witness.

I'll probably be at Washougal again this year. It's a great track to spectate at. There's a few spots at the top of horsepower hill where you get a good vantage point of a couple different sections and can really see how the fastest guys make time on the rest of the pack.

I may have oversold MotoGP. While they are the cream of the crop in my opinion, you don't have a chance with an inadequate ride. That's most of the field. This wasn't the case in the 2-stroke days.
I do enjoy the MXGP. I prefer the tracks out here though. I'm a huge Jeffrey Hearlings fan. He was as fast as anyone in his prime. He still is fast.

Washugal is a neat track. It's also seems scary to race on with the shadows and large trees. It seems like the riders have a tough time passing on it sometimes.
That's the one where Trey Canard broke his femur on the same downhill twice right? Ouch!

Are you still riding? It's been a while for me. I still have my old YZ 250. I do have a trip planned. Mountain biking is the closest I've been to riding lately.

Different kind of Grand Prix, but I just got notified that I got tickets to the DC Grand Prix in August. The tickets were free, but had to enter a drawing to get them, and I got 'em. Looking forward to it, should be a cool event.

The course goes in front of the Capitol, and around the Mall. I got tix in the Stripes area.

I hadn't missed an F1 race since the late '90s until they went to Apple TV. I still watch Indycar, IMSA, and if I stumble onto it, MotoGP and drag racing.

24 Hours of Le Mans is on now!

That looks pretty incredible.

Right before that I stopped in a spot that had mt st helens to my right and mt hood to the left. Behind me the valley opens up with a great view of the Columbia gorge. I am fortunate to live in such an amazingly beautiful region.

A view into Washington state from a dual sport ride back in March. Came out of some trails on to a forest road to this:

This is a spot nicknamed Instagram ridge ....for good reason. Awesome trail system in this spot. Haven't been there this year but planning on it next weekend or so. We are going to have an early fire season so its going to need to be soon.

Don't have that bike anymore. I was a really nice one too.

The worst kept secret in motogp dropped: pecco out and pedro in
Bad timing. Bagnia won this weekends Sprint race and got a 3rd in the GP. He lead for a while. The Coenen brothers were very impressive at Thunder Valley. Lucas went 2-2, and Sasha ran away with the 2nd race on the 250.

it's been a pretty rough couple years for Pecco and his struggles with the bike changes. Aprilia will probably be a great spot for him.
You also can't fault ducati for wanting to pair probably the most talented new rider on the grid in a while w/ MM93.

Sothwick should fall right into the Coenen bros wheelhouse.

It sure has been a rough couple of years for him. Aprilia has an excellent bike this year. I'm hoping he's his old self on it.

Southwick will be exciting. Those brothers are fast. So obviously are the Lawrence brothers. While Deegan really annoys me, there's no getting around the fact that he's going to be a serious contender. He's not too far off the winning pace.
The Coenen bros announced they are racing full time in the U.S. next year. I don't know if that starts with Supercross.

Deegs needs to clean up his technique if he wants a real shot at the Lawrences on a weekly basis. He definitely has the work ethic to make that happen. Heck, just coming to the primer class and running a consistent top 5 is no small feat.

Last week Jett was hanging out in 2nd and Deegan was throwing everything he had at catching him. Soon as the gap closed up enough to be a concern, Jett just turned it up a notch and opened it right back up. Mind you, we're talking 90% JL post injury too.
