Any Eric Carle fans in here?

I realize that this book is well beyond the average reading comprehension level of this group, but have any of you been able to make it all the way to the end?

I used to read that book to my niece and nephew. They helped me with the big words.

I probably read that book to the kids every day for a year. It’s a classic, on par with Where the Wild Things Are.

We live near the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art., though I haven't been there. The music director at our church raves about it, so I guess we'll go some day.

Fun fact.... Kohls carries an entire line of plush characters from the Eric Carle, and many other kid authors. They're a little too young for my wife's second grade classroom... but I have bought Smart Cookie, Humble Pie, Pigeon in a Hat... basically every time I see a new one... "Is this a story your kids read?" and then I grab it.
