'59 Silvertone 1417

This Silvertone 1415, also known as the Danelectro U1, is in incredible condition for its age (1959!) One neck pickup with a three way tone circuit switch makes this an extremely versatile guitar. It's light weight and set up superbly. It is really really fun to play on.

Check out these Specs:
21 fret
Rosewood Fingerboard
Copper Masonite Single Cutaway Body
1 Alnico Neck Pickup
3 Way Tone Circuit Selector
"Dolphin" Headstock
Shielded Electronic Cavity
Metal Trapezoid Tailpiece w/ Rosewood 'Stick' Saddle
Danelectro Gigbag (non-original)

There is some light wear on the neck (pictured) as well as a few small dings here and there. The side binding is clean and intact. I would say it is in 9.5/10 condition.

I prefer the big slab headstock of a couple of years later, and would prefer black or red, but it is kinda cool.

I dig this a lot, but since it's a real one it has to cost WAY more than I'd be willing to spend on a plywood and plastic guitar.

I like these. I probably wouldn't pay whatever it is they're asking, but they're cool guitars with comfy necks and a vibe all their own.

It’s interesting. I’d never pay a premium for it knowing how easy it would be to buy a used reissue and fix that up.
