    Vent about Microsoft.

Dude. At work we just transitioned from SAP's previously terrible software to their more recent "upgraded" completely awful software. The transition was supposed to be complete a while back, but they couldn't port a bunch of the transactions we use, so they basically cloned the BIS portion...

    Vent about Microsoft.

At work, the IT team has done a surprisingly decent job of making sure the M$ shit all works together fairly well. At home, my Legion hasn't yet infuriated me to the point of writing over the whole thing with a clean install of Mint, but I may clean up the old circa-2010 desktop to start...

Out in the west Texas town of El Paso

The vocals for the "Wild as the West Texas wind. . ." line get me every time. I think my dad introduced me to Marty Robbins and Sons of the Pioneers when I was like 8 or something. Didn't really dig it at the time, but I sure do now.

The Bicycle / Biking Gear Thread

Jeezy creezy @nuke_diver, glad you're ok. I picked up a few new chains for the family bikes, and will probably get all new shifter cables before our next camping trip. They're box-store bikes, but I watched some Park Tool videos and am now confident I can bring them back to better than new...

    2026 Concert Thread

Took the eldest child to see Amelie Farren at the Swedish American Hall in SF Friday eve. Good show, small crowd, but good energy. And for being just a kid herself, Amelie was charming, gracious, and took time to meet with literally all the fans after the show was done. Opener was a SF local...

Well here it is, the first "music video" from my original EP. It's kind of cheesy but I hope when you watch it you feel pure elation, ecstasy even...!

All the dudes in your band look the same! Also, the socked foot stomping on the distortion pedal is *chef's kiss* Love it.

    Social D - Oakland - September

Yeah, bro-in-law opted for the mezzanine because he's been in the pit for Social D before and said he won't do that these days. We survived Dropkick Murphys and Bad Religion, but were merely pit-adjacent for that one :D

    Social D - Oakland - September

Any leftcoasters headed to the show? My bro-in-law just got us tickets so I'll probably head over there early Tuesday and hit a few breweries before start time. I know Oakland United, Original Pattern, and Cellarmaker are all right there not far from the venue.

I think I went too far.

This. As soon as I started spending more time in the office than on the warehouse floor my weight started creeping up and not from increasing muscle mass. I think I'm starting to turn the tide back the other way but at mid-40s that's an uphill battle. ETA: Apparently extended work hours are...

Yes, yes...You liked Soundgarden, Alice, Nirvana and maybe even TAD or the Pixies or even Mudhoney...BUT

Never was much into grunge as much as I looked the part in high school. Do like Soundgarden and Audioslave though. Anyway, yeah, Garth was all over the place, along with Brooks and Dunn and Alan Jackson. Guess I've always been a little country-adjacent. You guys remember Chris Gaines...

    New old Strat day

Dude, my mid-late 90's MIM tele is a rockstar, definitely give it a chance

    RIP Kevin Dubrow

Have you guys seen "The Charismatic Voice?" I like her videos, probably not for all, but this one just dropped today and I thought of all our Quiet Riot faithful here. I got to see them once, in a tiny ballroom in a small college town, it was fucking badass. They pulled no punches despite the...

    It’s May 1980
