Achtung! I guess this is making the rounds now... what are your nine albums? Here are mine, now go on this website and make yours and share it you stupid moron

There's some albums that influenced me later in life, but these were the ones that most influenced my musical development. Laurie Anderson led me on a side quest for several years, but these had lasting influence.

Pick number 9 was difficult for me because, my list will have no Stevie Wonder and no Stevie Ray.

Songs in the Key of Life came along when I was about 13 years old. I was already in college when Texas Flood was released.

Such a banger.

Paul Gilbert must have thought so as well. He covered Crazy Horses on his album Extra volume 1.

I could have easily listed several Led Zeppelin and Beatles albums, as well as...

I should have included Class Clown in my 9 albums that made me at age 9, although it was my older brother that owned it.

9 albums did not make us. Hundreds of albums made us. Sometimes, we may not have even owned the albums that made us. My parents owned Big Band albums, and Glen Campbell albums. My older sisters owned all the Beatles albums. My older brother owned Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk RR, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, etc. One of my sisters was heavily into Elton John, etc.

A roommate of mine in an off-campus house during college bought the Ministry album, The Mind Is a Terrible Thing To Taste. He kept playing it. I hated it at first. Then, I liked, and loved it, although I do prefer to skip past a few tracks.
