Any Eric Gales fans in here?

I've been a fan for a while but finally caught him live for the first time a few weeks ago at a local blues festival. He was the headliner. He's an amazing player and does it all with the strings upside down.

I should post some pics in the Concert thread, but here's one from that night.

...and then he turns up on Beato's channel. In addition to being a top notch musician, he's a funny guy.

I became a fan with his debut album when he was only 16 years old. He’s only gotten better as a player and songwriter.
Same. Those first two Eric Gales Band albums were in constant rotation at my place in the ‘90s.

And the guitar battle between him and Bonamassa on The Ballad of John Henry is the greatest thing ever.

He is a complete badass. Really nice guy, too. He was here 6 or 7 years ago, and I chatted with him and his wife outside the venue for a bit.

I have a CD of him with his brothers Eugene and Little Jimmy King also on guitar, billed as The Gales Brothers, called Left Hand Brand. Great stuff!

Those are the two records I was talking about. And he was only 16 when the first one came out.
Funny thing it's hard to find details on them. On the first one Eric doesn't have any writing credits. His brother Eugene and Paul Ebersold are credited. It's interesting because Eric plays them with a lot of conviction. Entire thing he's just burning it up, playing much olded than he actually was. It's really something.
