I didn't find it weird that he stuck around so long. He made over 3 million a year to talk about sports. I'm glad he got another gig doing that. There have been lots of layoffs in that field lately.

Reggie is unquestionably the best option, sure. But Archie? Hell no. If Taylor and Archie had a baby, it would look like a white supremacist propaganda poster. Scary stuff. She’d be better off married with Dilton.

I'm so sorry that you guys have to deal with such shitty football broadcasters.


Since I mostly watch ND Football there's a variety of announcers when we aren't listening to beloved local folks.

My years of watching NBA were only really disrupted by Bill Walton's ramblings... but he was more like the ex-hippie grandpa compared to some of the football talking heads. :helper:

Skip isn't a broadcaster. He just talks about football and basketball on Fox Sports. And Shannon Sharpe wasn't bad. He'd actually did his homework and had to correct all of Skip's bad opinions. Which is probably the only reason for the popularity of the show. They had a falling out and he moved to ESPN.

These days a lot of sports talk shows have a dumb guy on them because they think it's good for the attention economy. And they aren't wrong. It's like having a heel in wrestling.

I don't have a problem with broadcasting per se. For Chiefs games local radio is good with Mitch Holthus (who previously had Len Dawson with him). A lot of times I don't listen to games that closely though.

Ahh... the only Sports talking head I've ever cared to spend any time listening to is Dan Patrick. The rest of them remind me of Fox News broadcasters where they're constantly outraged or freaking out about someone or something. :rolleyes:

Ironically it is the rednecks and New York Post readers who are mad at Kelce because he does Pfizer and bud light ads. And they just now learned he took a knee with Colin Kaepernick back in the day. He is about the opposite of the country singer world.
