I have a feeling that if this place was the real world, we'd all be in a bar getting drunk... then getting into a big fist fight.... which would end 15 minutes later followed by us sitting around drinking beers, nursing black eyes and laughing at each other. :helper:

Again - three of my kids love the CD. 'My Immortal' is just a gorgeous song. But yeah, Amy Lee is really, really emo. It's not my CD for the record.....

I've had to sit through repeated playings of Justin Timberlake, Carrie Underwood, Lil' Wayne, and Taylor Swift among others over the years.


Now when we do really long road trips... I put my bose headphones in and listen to MY music while the rest of the car listens to their pop stuff.

fuck that. if i'm driving, its my music. everybody else can listen to their headphones.

When you have a wife and two daughters... it's easier for them to listen to music with no headphones and talk (and talk) while I listen to headphones and am blissfully oblivious to the conversations going on. :tongue:

my parents listened to lite fm in the car for my entire childhood. their car, their radio, their rules. ok fine. i'm gonna sit over here and listen to Megadeth and drown out Linda Ronstadt for the 9000th time.

if my kids don't like the music i play, they can do the same.
 
I actually really like most of that album. Aside from the Linkin Park Guitar licks, it has some really powerful moments and she has a fantastic voice.

And I let my kids pick CDs to listen to in the car partly so I can hear new bands. I just draw the line at rap and/or screamo.

This is what is likely to show up in my car CD player on the days the kids pick...
