Pet peeve of mine: people who think decades are genres of music. "What kind of music are you into?" "Eighties music!" Oh, so you're into the Minutemen and Lionel Richie, then.
How did you get a hold of my record collection?

Oh, there is music from many decades that I love. For a while I was playing music from the folk tradition through about the 1940s under the label of old-time, good-time music. Everything from mountain music, jug band and blues, 1920s ukulele tunes and classic country music. Still, my favorite music is from that 65-75 era when I was coming into my teens and early 20s.I'm gonna go 65-75 ish with a +/- 3 year window.
Some noteworthy exceptions, Ramones/Clash/Sex Pistols moves the window a few years forward.
Eddy Cochran, Duane Eddy, Shadows, most instrumental surf moves it back 5 or so. Third wave surf in the late 80's/ 90's.
Blind Willie McTell moves it way back.
Im with Gary on this 65 thru 75
Miles Smiles
Who's Next
Highway 61 revisited
Coltrane's output
Birds of Fire
Are You Experienced?
Woodstock
Beatles
Stones
Jobim
Too much to list really

Did you stop remembering album names when you came to Coltrane? And then you just gave up and started naming concerts, and bands without saying "output" after the name. You should have ended it with "music", and then "stuff".
Having said that 65-75 is a great classification, and 55-65 is even better for jazz.
Are you drunk?
