You hippies okay out there

I got the alert on my phone while I was out riding (there's an app for that of course). The phone was telling me to drop cover and hold on. I actually stopped to see what it was and saw it was a big one but also 300 miles away so I didn't bother. If I didn't have the app, even if the quake was closer I'm not sure I'd notice, that road was pretty rough :jogger:

My daughter lives in the Bay Area. She said she's fine. It was further north. My wife texted me that it was a 7.2 with a tsunami warning. They always add a couple of Richter points early on.

I was on a conference call and one of the attendees was in the SF Bay area. The alert went off on his phone, and about 5 - 10 min later he said they felt it there too. He was working from home and reported a mini tsunami in his pool.

Mark Wein is like “grrrr I don’t have time for this shit today” and then the Meat Truck crashes into the dumpster and a harmonica playing hobo flies out of the dumpster and asks to sit in with the band at the Casa Del Milf Shake.

Just another teaser. We were promised California tumbling into the sea decades ago.

Don’t get me wrong, I like California. I just like some good action in the news.

Was living in San Francisco for the Loma Prieta Earthquake in 1989. Working as a dispatcher for one of the Ambulance companies at the time. Really Interesting night...

I moved here, Santa Cruz, 6 months after. My Mom was "isn't where they just had the earthquake?" Me "relax, they have had theirs" The very first morning I was here we had a 5.4 aftershock. It was a good wakeup call  My now wife was working in Santa Cruz when it hit. Getting home was an adventure that evening...
