, take those vinyl straps that came with your Ikea roll matress, some 1.5mm gummi foam and a sewing machine.

3.99 delivery on Amazon

Cut it down to flat fabric and stick it to evenly cut strips of the foam with spray adhesive and sew them on straight. Now I have a custom strap.

Not perfect but pretty cool project that I can always improve on. I did it with a 5€ Levy's strap that I had laying around too and like that better.

Anyways not the greatest work ever, but a successful experiment.
