They are clearly going for the Gretsch White Penguin look, but somehow managed to really miss the target. The colors of the knobs, switch and pick guard just don't work together.

I wouldn't pay $625 for it, but if it came up i my area for a couple hundred bucks, I'd probably be tempted.

It's not what I'd design for myself, but I'm craving an archtop hard enough that that'd do. I like the finish, and I like the offset look. Gold hardware is not my cup, but it gets by on an archtop. I don't like Bigsbys, but I'd accept it. And so on.

I almost bought an Xtone Paramount (in black, and minus the Bigsby) from a little guitar shop on the east side of Milwaukee, several years ago. It was a fantastic playing and sounding guitar. The shop had gotten it in trade, from the touring guitar player for Earth, Wind, and Fire. I waffled on buying the guitar, and when I went back to the shop a few days later, it had been sold. Xtone Paramounts are great guitars.

I'd try it.

So far, I haven't liked too many of the LTD/ESP neck shapes. There's a flat spot on the back that doesn't work for me.
