Curious to see if I get any nibbles: I have a 2002 American Fat Strat Texas Special (part of the "Hot-Rodded" series in the early '00s) that I've just never grown to love. It's rather on the heavy side, and that may be part of it, combined with the fact that (contrary to most) I just plain find teles more comfortable than strats. Anyway -- it's outfitted with CS Texas Special pickups in the neck and center and a Duncan "Hot" Pearly Gates in the bridge. The wiring is a bit different on these -- in position four, the front coil of the bridge is combined with the center pickup and the bottom tone control is wired to the bridge pickup. (http://support.fender.com/service_diagrams/stratocaster/011-7900_02A_SISD.pdf). There is a small (really small) ding on the bottom by the strap lug. Otherwise, it's in excellent shape.
