I'd never heard of Jared James Nichols until yesterday.
I'm way more of a Strat/Tele/Super Strat kind of guy.
I absolutely hated the last Gibson guitar I owned.
It only has one pickup!
And yet, after seeing the dude demo it on YouTube, I got a massive attack of GAS.
WTF?

Do eet! There's something about a Jr. with a P90 that is irresistable. The combination of lightness and P90 makes for a great guitar. I'm not the biggest fan of wrap-around bridges, but it's not necessarily a deal-breaker.

Lose the blues power and it's awesome. Single p90 and a wraparound bridge is sexy simplicity

Have you ever actually owned a single-P-90 guitar? If not, you are missing something. One of my first 'decent' electrics was an early 60s LP Jr. doublecut with a single PO. That was a screamer of a guitar, and I sure wish I hadn't given it to a girl (old story) back in the mid-70s....
 
There's something about a single P-90 that just rings differently, because there are no other pickups (magnets) pulling on the strings.
