What's the oldest food/drink you've consumed?

I would say mine is the MRE I had last night, 2006 or possibly 2009. No off smells at all, no ill effects. The M&M's were mush and I had to use the spoon to eat them. The crackers were fineand the main course of chicken and noodles was actually pretty darn good. Coffee and cream was fine, the chicklets gum was not too hard but the cheese spread kinda scared me off with it's weird orange color so i did not try it but it did smell ok.

Worthless without pics or fully narrated vids with good lighting.

During Basic Training and Tech School in 1984 we regularly ate C-Rations dated 1946. So cake, canned peaches, spaghetti, crackers, chicken, pork and beans and a number of others 40 years old.

It's funny back in the day how important cigs were, I mean they could've put something more useful like say water purification tablets, pepto bismo, vitamins, a payday candy bar or what not...instead "smoke up johnny" have another cancer stick baby !

Back when my wife and I first moved in together (1978 )I found a case of jam jars all sealed up and dated July 1957. We opened one, and found that it was incredible -- rich, and winey.

Cigarettes were also as good a cash.
