What's everybody making for Turducken Day?

My family wanted me to make green bean casserole.

I saw a new Campbell's cream of mushroom soup, Cremini & Shiitake, and was going to use that in it to mix things up. But I noticed it had beef stock listed in the ingredients, and a couple of my family memember are vegetarian. I bought the regular one instead.

I still might go buy that fancy one and make some beef tips & noodles with it :embarrassed:

No, actually I’m going a little off the usual Thanksgiving script today. First a snack of pita bread with feta cheese and tabouli. Later will grill some Cornish game hens. Sides are an easy macaroni salad (already made) and green beans. Mom is making a rhubarb crumble for dessert.

I have to report that our turkey got rave reviews. The only thing we did differently this year was to put bacon between the skin and breasts along with the usual butter and spices. Aside from that it received the usual 18 hours of brining, 500 degrees for 30 minutes then roasted at 350 until the breast measured 160 degrees. We rested it about an hours before carving.
 
Anyway, like I was sayin', Sonny is the fruit of the desert. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. There's uh, Sonny-kabobs, Sonny creole, Sonny gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple Sonny, lemon Sonny, coconut Sonny, pepper Sonny, Sonny soup, Sonny stew, Sonny salad, Sonny and potatoes, Sonny burger, Sonny sandwich. That- that's about it.
