What are your thoughts on Sideways pedals?….

Was putting this mini board together to use with my Soldano Astro….

I turned the boost pedal sideways so I could have the phaser be the last thing before going to the front of the amp, and the Spark and Halo will be in the loop. I ended up turning the MXR and the Spark sideways… but then thought “I’m sure two sideways pedals might make a few people’s eyes twitch”

If its a pedal you never adjust, and you can get to the footswitch switch easily, then IMO its fine.

I also redid the surface of this mini board to have 4 rows of 3M click-lock instead if typical velcro.

Honestly, I would love to have the boost on the bottom and the phaser at top, but it would require a little patch panel for input output, where the current orientation allows 4 cable setup and I still can adjust the solo volume with my toe.

The Halo doesn’t have any velcro on it yet because it’s likely going as soon as the Halo Core gets to me.

I'm ambivalent. If I see a board with a pedal sideways, I don't think that looks stupid. If I see a board without a pedal sideways, I don't think, ya know what would make this look better? A pedal that's sideways.

Also, I read the thread title and thought there was a company I hadn't heard of yet, named Sideways Pedals.

If you turn the guitar sideways, aligned with the pedal, it will sound normal again. Of course, that will make the non-sideways pedals sound funny. Sounding funny is my thing.
