Well I think we all do agree that RYOBI makes junk garbage tools, but is Milwaukee brand any better?

I never knew a Ryobi tool not to fail but is it better than the brand that is called Milwaukee?

You can’t get a better tool than Milwaukee imo. That’s what we use at work and it’s what you will see most professionals using. Worth every penny.

I've had pretty good luck with the Ryobi + 18v tools. Granted, I'm not a heavy-duty user, but I have a drill/driver, a circular saw and a handheld vac and all are great.

BTW - those Milwaukee power tools that aren't made in China are made in Mississippi. Go figure...

Yeah, Milwuakee tools used to be top notch. Now they're just another made-in-China brand. Same can be said for Porter-Cable. DeWalt seems to be ruling the roost nowadays.

The older blue Ryobi tools were much better than the green ones...

Milwaukee makes some stuff for SnapOn...

I've had very good luck with Bosch and Dewalt...

We have one of the Milwaukee "magnum" 1/2 inc h drills at work and it's a beast. We've had it since 1999 think. it gets dropped from bench high been in oil, etc. used and abused and it's still as strong as day one.

I have a Ryobi cordless drill that has been fine for about 7 years. The battery just stopped holding a charge last week. I ran up to Lowe's to buy a new battery, but they don't carry Ryobi stuff, so I just bought a cheap Kobalt one.

I always thought DeWalt was the top shelf stuff.

My Ryobi drill is the blue one. It was part of a set with a circular saw.

I don't know about newer Milwaukee stuff, but I have a drill that's probably as old as me that still works great. It was my dad's, and he used it as a contractor for years.

I hate cordless drills. I so rarely drill anything that whenever I would go to use one the battery would be dead and I'd have to wait for it to charge up.

I finally bought a corded Black and Decker drill, light duty, for stuff around the house and I love it. It's never dead.

I have a 30-yo Craftsman corded drill I never use anymore. It's heavy, has a cord, and is much less comfortable to work with than the Ryobi.

Had a DeWalt 12 volt that I got in the 90's. But it finally died, and I now have a Milwaukee which is an 18 and much stronger. The Milwaukee seems nicer. But I do enjoy borrowing my neighbor's impact version. I forget what brand.

Dewalt and Milwaukee are tops.

Ryobi & Kobalt are crap.

Nobody in their right mind buys B&D. Junk.

I have some Ryobi garden stuff (cordless mower, blower, etc.) that works just fine.
My Milwaukee Sawzall is awesome. But the tried-and-true brand is DeWalt.

My Milwaukee corded drill is almost 25 years old and going strong.
I bought a Bosch 18v cordless last year and love it. The batteries last much longer between charges than the old DeWalt and 7 year old Hitachi drills.

It's funny. When we moved back to VA 6 years ago, I needed a weed eater but we were short on cash after the big move, so I bought a cheapo battery powered B&D from Lowe's with every intention on replacing it the following summer when it died. It is still going strong on the original battery. I use it weekly from March to October and it hasn't failed yet.
