Hot or Not? Well... even though I am trying to sell off guitars... I couldn't help myself with this one... (Casino content)

Sooo over the past three months I have sold off nine guitars/basses and I have at least five more that I am selling... I've been trying to downsize. But then I saw this for $750 with a hardshell case on Dave's and given recent prices for MIK Peerless-made Casinos I thought damn that is too good not to get... and it's in a relatively rare silver flake finish.

The funny thing is that one of the guitars I am trying to sell now is also an MIK Peerless Casino - but mine is a much more common natural-finished one. I "Lennonized" it and I did a really shitty job of drilling out the tuning peg holes for the gold Grover tuners a la Lennon's. Functionally totally fine but kind of looks like shit up close. I also don't have the case for it. Someone is coming to look at it this weekend and is offering $700 for it (of course I disclosed the tuning peg issues and they are cool with it). So I feel like I am almost trading one-for-one and getting one without issues (inflicted by my incompetence) and with a case. Plus the silver sparkle finish will discourage me from trying to "Lennonize" this one and probably fucking it up, too.

Anyways there you go...

Got an email from Gibson today. Didn't know I could buy an Epiphone that was made in the USA. Only $3,500.

my Epi Texan acoustic is from the new USA line. made in bozeman alongside the gibbys. it is by far the best acoustic i've ever had!
That I can believe. Unfortunately I think that means an electric would be made, "alongside the gibbys" somewhere that is not Bozeman.

Also, the silver sparkle is way hotter.

It is a really great guitar, in spectacular shape for being from 1996. I've had a number of casinos, this is one of the best. A keeper as much as any guitar of mine can be considered one. The electronics are even in great shape, usually the pots and jacks on these are shot by this point in their lives. Of course whoever had it before they could have replaced the harness, so who knows.

I somehow decided you already had it so, I didn't understand why you were saying it's here. Then I thought OMG, he blew $3,500 on another one.

Like Mrs H from television's popular Hart to Hart, 'she's gawgeous!'

I love it. I would totally play it.

in addition to having generally reasonable prices on stuff, Dave's Guitars usually does a really nice job in the setup / cleaning department. I can barely find any signs of use on this thing other than the metal aging. It's really resonant too, it can be played unplugged and it still sounds nice...
